"What a great place. Had some teeth to fix after an accident. The Dr. is so calm and comforting, Ashley, Whitney and Jillian take care of you and make you feel at home. They explain everything as they go too. Not sure why you would go anywhere else, here they have the best tools, equipment and the friendliest staff!"- J.G. / Google / May 13, 2021
"Well I'm back again for some work on my front teeth that were so thin they were translucent & breaking. Asthough I was nervous about having to get crowns on the front Dr Patel convinced me to do it. They're perfect, natural looking & I love smiling now! Thanks again to my dentist with the amazing memory which he uses it to supplement his extensive records for each patient. Dr Patel has many of the latest dental "toys" and knows how to use them. The office staff is equally friendly and well versed in their respective areas. When I was a relatively new patient my son-in-law was visiting and broke a front tooth the evening before he was to speak to the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Dr Patel had him come right in and spent several hours making him a new tooth. That's the kind of devotion to his practice that makes it so special. Now that I have finished putting his children through college, (just kidding) I will continue to insure his comfortable retirement! As you might have guessed, we do have some fun giving the staff a hard time."- M.C. / Google / Mar 31, 2021
"Dr Sangvi I Patel is by far the best dentist I have ever been too. I had an emergency and he got me in the next day. My current dentist at the time would not do that for me and I had have been going there for 12 years . Dr Patel is meticulous, he loves what he does, it shows. He makes sure you do not fill any pain during procedures. He will be my dentist as long as I live in Florida and if I move I will fly in to see him. Yes ,he Is that good. Dental bonding and contouring can treat cracks, gaps, chips, discoloration, tooth length, and other flaws. It is an affordable cosmetic procedure and can usually be done in a single visit. This treatment doesn't require prep work, like veneers or crowns; however, it is not as strong as veneers and typically doesn't last as long. Dental bonding and contouring is ideal for minor flaws so if you wish for more extensive changes, another cosmetic or restorative procedure may be better. During your consultation, Dr. Patel will listen to your needs and wants and then go over your options.
What To Expect
Dental bonding and contouring will be typically done in one visit at our office in Melbourne, FL. You shouldn't require any anesthesia, but options for sedation can be discussed with Dr. Patel during your consultation if you experience any anxiety or have a strong gag reflex. Once you are ready, Dr. Patel will begin applying the composite resin to the needed areas with the help of one of his assistants. The composite resin will be hardened with a special light before more layers are added. When the bonding process is set, Dr. Patel will contour and polish the composite resin and your natural teeth for an even result.
Once you've had dental bonding and contouring, you should avoid staining foods and drinks (like tea, coffee, and tobacco) for two days. The bonding material can chip and stain so don’t bite down on hard objects, such as ice cubes, hard candy, fingernails, and pens. You should also be sure to brush your teeth immediately after eating. Teeth that have been bonded and contoured should be cleaned, like regular teeth, with regular flossing, brushing, and mouthwash. Dental cleanings at Sangiv I. Patel, D.D.S., PA will help to remove stains from the composite resin. With good care, dental bonding can last up to ten years. During your annual dental exam, Dr. Patel will help you decide if the dental bonding and contouring procedure needs to be redone to maintain your smile.
Dental bonding and contouring is a cosmetic procedure so it is typically not covered by insurance. Our office can contact your insurance company to confirm your coverage, but most patients will pay out-of-pocket for this procedure. At your consultation, Dr. Patel will discuss an estimate of costs and payment options we accept at his private practice.
