To think of Dr. Patel as a dentist is like considering Michaelangelo or
DaVinci to be artists. While those titles are true, in all three cases they
are far more than that. Lucky for us that we still have Dr. Patel.
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Patel’s for several years. My experience
began with a routine examination after I moved from another city. My
previous orthodontist had outfitted me with braces, followed by a
commonly used clear plastic mold product to improve my upper and
lower teeth alignment. Seeing me at three years into that process, Dr.
Patel examined me and quickly determined that, though the teeth
looked great from the outside, the objective to improve my bite had
been largely overlooked (ignored?). The result was that the mismatch
in how my teeth fit together was beginning to cause symptoms of TMJ
issues involving jaw pain, teeth beginning to spontaneously crack and
break, and worse.
I now found myself in the hands of a technical master, a scholar, a
systems thinker for whom few dental problems are the result of merely
one cause, and a true humanitarian who took the time to make sure I
was comfortable with every procedure and that I had the answer to
“why?” whenever the question was asked. To make a long story short,
one could easily conclude today that my bite has been dramatically
improved so that teeth, jaw, and oral health are the best they have
ever been.
Everything about Dr Patel’s office provides valuable insights. He has a
highly competent small team, some of whom have been with him for
years. The technology he has created and acquired reveal him to be an
innovator par excellence. If you ever have a problem or troubling
question on a non-business day, you’ll find him to be, as often as not,

the person who answers the phone from wherever he might be. In
other words, he sets a high bar others in this industry should emulate.
If you are looking for a global leader in his field who treats you like a
newly found relative he cares about, Dr. Patel is your man. I have found
him to be a pretty humble guy, considering all his achievements both
here and internationally. He is a perfectionist without being pedantic.
You may find him to be the kind of good neighbor you wish you had.
